As well as helping promote a love of reading throughout our school, the Woods Loke Library usually fulfils many other functions. Open to families every week after school our wonderful full-time librarian is constantly working to involve our families in helping their children to build a passion for books. As well as this, our school library is open every lunchtime - providing children with a range of different activities. Sadly, due to the current situation, many of the things we love to do in our library have had to be limited. However, we are working hard to ensure that children and families can continue to indulge their love of reading - whatever the situation!
We are overjoyed with the new Library at Woods Loke Primary School, and the first of our bubbles to use it completely agree! Alongside the new bright and inviting Library, we have also introduced new Library software called Libresoft. The new system allows the children to request their own books and to write reviews. This has been rolled out to Years 4, 5 and 6, and all other year groups will follow shortly.
Each department now have their own Reading Hive. These Hives house the 1000s of new banded books to support reading.
We look forward to welcoming you all soon.
